.eu outgrown .biz domain name

The .eu domain was publicly launched last Friday and it's already more popular than the .biz domain that was launched five years ago.

On Thursday there were 1.454.128 active .eu domain names, a number that surpasses 1.352.984 active .biz domain names. The .biz TLD was introduced in 2001 and is to be used for "bona fide business or commercial use". However, Neulevel, the registry of .biz, don’t apply any systematic to ensure these restrictions.
