NVIDIA silently released the new GeForce 7900 GS GPU, The Reg Hardware reports.
Like other GeForce 7900s, the GS features a 256-bit memory bus that, in this case, connects to 256MB of GDDR 3 SDRAM. The GPU's a 90nm part with 20 pixel processors, down from the 7900 GT's 24, DailyTech reports. Presumably it has lower memory and core clock frequencies too.
This card is likely a bit cheaper than the GeForce 7900 GT.
