AMD could build fab in New York

The Inquirer says AMD has been in talks over a $3.5 billion fab in NY:

Citing sources, Timesunion.com breaks the news, here, that AMD has been in talks over a $3.5bn package to fabricate in the Luther Forest Technology Park.

Local authorities are said to be wiggling a $1 billion carrot in front of the chip-maker's nose, in a bid to get it to employ around a thousand of New York's good citizens.
