Before I begin my conclusion may I just reiterate that the new AM2 Sempron processors only real new feature is its ability to support Dual-Channel DDR2 memory. This means that there is very little difference between the Sempron 2800+ for the s754 and AM2 platforms. Given DDR2 technology has really struggled to out perform the original DDR memory standard over the past few years, should you really expect a huge leap in performance from the newly adopted DDR2 memory type?
