LG.Philips to buid LCD fab in Poland

LG.Philips is planning to build a major LCD fab in Poland:
LG.Philips LCD is not about to let the European display market sit idle. With heavy competition coming from all fronts, especially from its peers in South Korea, LPL is going to be one of the first display manufacturers to build a large scale production facility outside of Asia. The company has announced that it will open a new Poland-based manufacturing facility to produce flat panel displays. The plant will be built in Wroclaw, Poland, and will be completed in 2007 and will begin mass production in March. The company also indicated that the plant will be able to produce 11 million units per year by 2011
