ATI to provide Xbox 360 H.264 decoder

EE Times writes ATI will supply its H.264 decoder for Microsoft's Xbox 360 HD DVD player.

ATI said its decoder is based on its Avivo technology, which also will use Microsoft's Xbox graphics processing unit to accelerate video processing.
