Windows Vista to feature electronic payments standard

Remember the days when "e-business" and "e-commerce" were the hot buzzwords on everyone's lips? Well, those days are back in force, and are now backed by powerful financial institutions such as IP Commerce, the IP Payments Framework, Chase Bank, PayPal, and CIT Group. These groups, among others, have joined in a consortium to standardize on the new Payments as a Secure Service (PASS) framework, which will be available to small businesses with the release of Windows Vista.
