Apple to launch Merom based notebooks

Apple plans to release Merom based notebooks in the next couple of months.

That's according to Apple Insider. The site suggests that Apple could get Merom volumes from early September, allowing it join the PC crowd with systems of its own. µ

Separately, Apple has signed deals with GM, Ford and Mazda that will see in-car iPods widely available as optional extras in yet more models.
