Tyan releases 18 products for new Opterons

Tyan has released 18 server platforms and motherboards designed for AMD's new Socket F Opteron processors.
Targeting applications from entry-level workstations to datacenter servers, the lineup includes models supporting up to eight processors, the company said. According to AMD, its new Opteron 8218 processor is priced at US$2,149 in 1,000-unit quantities, and the models 2218 and 1218 are respectively priced at US$873 and US$749 in 1,000-unit quantities. More prices of AMD's Socket-F Opteron CPUs are available at AMD's website.
