ATI RD600 a dead duck?

The Inq heard at least a couple of ATI's partners are backing out of the RD600 project.
ATI will have the chips ready for October but not too many motherboard manufacturers wants to step on Intel's toes and make an ATI RD600 board. Manufacturers are to blame for this, and not ATI. The chipset will be just fine but this very easily might be the last Intel based chipset from ATI. This is what the motherboard companies believe at the moment.

ATI is still trying to convince the world+dog that it loves Intel even more than it did before but the Taiwanese find that hard to believe. They like the consistency and ATI and Intel doesn’t sound like a marriage that will last much longer. The new bride AMD will put pressure on it, we are sure.
