Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2 with quad-core support

Shuttle just announced that the Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2 supports Intel's Core 2 quad-core processors. Since the launch of Intel's latest generation of quad-core processors of the Core 2 series, the compatibility to the Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2 has been the most frequent question. The devision responsible for compatibility tests at Shuttle Inc. in Taiwan now officially confirms the following processor models supported by the Shuttle XPC Barebone SD37P2.
  • Intel quad-core processors: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6400, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600
  • Intel quad-core processor of the Extreme series: Intel Core 2 Extreme quad-core processor QX6700
A BIOS update is not necessary.
