Coolermaster Recalls Aero 7 CPU Cooler : Potential problems?

Posted on Tuesday, July 08 2003 @ 3:02 CEST by Thomas De Maesschalck
I just read this story on Warp2Search and I thought that it could be interesting for our readers too :
To HK Aero 7 owner only: due to the design problem, our previous Aero 7 fan will potentially be damaged after certain amount of usage. We have noticed the problem and released the improved Aero 7+ to replace Aero 7. To be safe and this is a recall notice, we advise you to take your Aero 7 to our office before July 15th to exchange with Aero 7+. Should you have any inquiry please feel free to contact us.

According to them this recall seems to be only valid for Hongkong users, but there have been reports from the US and Germany too. Problems vary from sudden scratches to the Aero 7 catching fire.
