Intel Prescott won't fit i865/i875 motherboards?

Today there were some rumours on some sites, that the first upcoming Intel Prescott processors with socket 478 won't fit in the Springdale/Canterwood motherboards anymore. I am not quite sure if they will or not, but check out overclockers.com they have a good article about it :


"As you can see, it is quite possible according to Intel to build an 865/875 board that is compatible with Prescott. It is also possible and allowable to build an 865/875 board that is not compatible with Prescott, too."
