X-bit Labs managed to find some information about the mysterious ATI Radeon9800SE!
Everything is not that simple with the RADEON 9800 SE. As we reported last week, there are two versions of the RADEON 9800 SE: one with simplified PCB design and 128-bit memory, offering speeds comparable to that of the RADEON 9600-series, another is more powerful using 256-bit memory bus, but a slightly modified R350 core with only 4 rendering pipelines. Such more expensive solution will function at 325/600MHz for graphics processor/DDR SDRAM and will probably become an interesting option for enthusiasts. The only concern is that its price will be about $200 - $249, a bit more than a typical hardware enthusiast in budget can afford for a graphics card that needs a modification to perform on $299 or $399 level.
