Santa Clara, Calif.-based programmable logic company Nvidia Corp. has inked a deal to buy 4.5 million units of electromagnetic simulation technology provider Acceleware Corp. for $2.925 million.
Each of the deal's "units" consists of one common share and one-half of one common share-purchase warrant, the companies said. Alberta, Canada-based Acceleware said the investment will be used for the marketing, sales and ongoing development of its acceleration products for electromagnetic simulation and seismic data processing markets, as well as capital equipment, facilities and working capital.
