I just read this at xbitlabs.com :
Advanced Micro Devices confirmed the upcoming Opteron 2.0GHz processor release by publishing the Composite Theoretical Performance (CTP) calculations for AMD Opteron microprocessors, including x40, x42, x44 and x46 chips with 1.40, 1.60, 1.80 and 2.0GHz core-clocks respectively.

...

Composite Theoretical Performance (CTP) calculations are actually not benchmarks, but calculations of peak theoretical performance. We cannot draw any actual conclusions from the figures, though, since AMD publishes the data for the processor with x46 index clocked at 2.0GHz, it means that either the chip is around the corner, or AMD wants everybody to think the 2.0GHz AMD64 CPU for servers and workstations is around the corner.
