Supreme Commander graphics and gameplay

The spiritual successor to the classic 90s RTS, Total Annihilation, SupCom is war on an epic scale, a different end of the RTS genre from the sublime Company of Heroes. But is it the greatest strategy game of all time? Quite probably. We give you our verdict on the game and its 8800-crushing dual-monitor support.

"We've been fortunate enough to see two amazing RTS games hit the PC in the space of six months. CoH is intimate and intricate; SupCom is epic and impersonal. It's hard to score one over the other, in gameplay terms, and you really should make sure you play both through. But with dual screens... man, Supreme Commander is really where it's at, and it's certainly the best new take on the old school RTS. Is it the best RTS ever? Probably. It's big, it's clever, and it's hard. Buy it. Buy it now!"
