ATI: Radeon HD 2900XT will compete with the GeForce 8800 GTS

At the press event in Tunis, ATI folks said in front of more than 150 journalists that their Radeon 2900 XT graphics card won't perform as good as the half year old GeForce 8800 GTX.

The Radeon HD 2900 XT should be available in May and will have about the same performance as the GeForce 8800 GTS.

The Radeon HD 2900 XTX GPU may be able to beat the GeForce 8800 GTX but that card has been delayed to the third quarter of this year.
