ATI Radeon HD 2950 XT to arrive in Q3 2007

Fud Zilla reveals that the ATI folks are working on a successor for the upcoming R600, codenamed R650.

This card will be launched as the Radeon HD 2950 XT and if it doesn't get delayed it should be available in August or September.

The chip is called R650 and it is a 65 nanometre core, how convenient. With this new chip ATI might have a fighting chance against the Geforce 8800 Ultra, but the real question is what will Nvidia have at that time.
