Asus OCgear bay device - overclock your 8600 GT on-the-fly

Next week at Computex we can expect a new GeForce 8600 GT based graphics card from Asus which will ship with OCgear hardware overclocking control.

The OCgear is a 5.25" device that is a bit similar to the XG Station. Users will be able to overclock their Asus GeForce 8600 GT card on-the-fly by turning a knob.
We haven’t got the details on how it connects to the graphics card as yet, but the OCgear allows you to control the GPU speed on the fly. It also displays the GPU temperature, allows you to adjust the fan speed and displays how many FPS you’re getting. It also allows you to adjust the volume of your system, but it’s unclear if this only works with Asus motherboards or any sound card or onboard solution.

This feature has a pretty high coolness factor but I suppose it will come at a nice premium price.
