Engadget got their hands on some information about the upcoming Dell XPS m1330 ultraportable notebook.

This notebook is based on Intel's Santa Rosa platform and chips with Core 2 Duo processors up to 2.4GHz. Dell is giving you the option to include a LED backlit LCD display which features a 300cd/m² brightness (versus 220 with the CCFL backlight).

The notebook has a slot-loading dual-layer DVD writer, supports up to 4GB DDR2 memory, optional GeForce Go 8400M GS, WWAN option, integrated 2 megapixel webcam (only VGA on the LED backlit display), HDMI, VGA, 1394, 2x USB 2.0, integrated media reader (MS, SD and XD cards), dual mini-PCI slots and also has a fingerprint reader.

With the LED-backlit display the notebook measures 12.5 x 9.4 x 0.87 - 1.33-inches (318 x 238 x 22.1 - 33.8mm). Unfortunately it's pretty heavy for an ultraportable, weight starts at 4 pounds.
