Intel GMA X3500 faster than AMD 690G?

Here's some more graphics/chipset news coming from Computex. Intel is currently showing off its new G35 chipset which features the GMA X3500 integrated graphics. FUD Zilla saw the demonstration and reports the GMA X3500 was clearly faster than the AMD 690G.

In Call of Duty 2 the Intel chipset did about 10-20FPS better than the AMD chipset. But they also say that the demonstration may not have been fair:
But the AMD system used an Athlon 64 X2 5200+, while the Intel system was running a Core 2 Duo E6600. Considering that the Core 2 Duo's are quite a bit faster than the Athlon X2's, this doesn't seem like quite a fair comparison.

However, neither integrated graphics solution could actually play the game at a playable frame rate, although we're not sure what resolution the game was played at, but the 690G topped out at around 10 FPS and stayed there, while the GMA X3500 never went over 30 FPS and averaged around 20 FPS.
