The Inq writes the GeForce 8400 from NVIDIA may arrive even sooner than ATI's upcoming Radeon HD 2400 and 2600 cards.
The 8400 will come in 256MB and 128MB models, priced at about $80 and $50 respectively.

Whilst the cards are nominally DX10 compatible, the performance will be well below the standards required to actually run any new games with DX10 features enabled.

The launch date, it's rumoured, is June 19 - meaning we could actually see it before DAAMIT's mainstream cards including the 2400 and 2600 hit the shelves.
This card ia passively cooled and runs at 400MHz with 450MHz memory. It supports HDCP (but no HDMI) and PureVideo 2.
