Swedish overclocker Elmor has been overclocking his Radeon HD 2900 XT CrossFire system and managed to reach some quite impressive results. When overclocking the cards to 900/980 MHz and the processor, Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 at 5280MHz he managed to reach 33,622 points in 3DMark 05; a new world record, with the cards still using the stock coolers.

"The graphics cards were running at 920/980MHz, while the processor, an Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800, was pushed to 5280MHz (440x12) using a mousepot rev3. The motherboard was (a personal favorite of mine), Abit AW9D-MAX, paired with Teamgroup OPB Edition running at 1:1 3-3-3-4 and a Tagan 1100W power supply."
