DDR2 Speed Testing - is high-performance memory worth the premium price?

Today’s article at RWB started out as a simple write-up on the real world performance benefits of using faster DDR2 memory in an Intel Processor-based system. With memory prices near an all-time low, many mainstream consumers, gamers and enthusiasts are purchasing faster memory for their boxes. Surely faster memory will bring lower rendering times, more frames per second and higher benchmark numbers. Unfortunately the results obtained from their testing did not support that conclusion..
