Pentax Optio M40 and E40 - 8 megapixel digicams

Pentax has two new cheap 8 megapixel digital cameras: the Pentax Optio M40 and Optio E40.

The Optio M40 has 3x optical zoom, is only 0.7-inch thick and has a 2.5" LCD display. Some of the other features are facial recognition, 640 x 480 video recording at 30fps, digital shake reduction and SD/SDHC support. This camera will sell in August for $199.

The Optio E40 has a bit less features and will retail in September for $149.
