AMD is working on a new enterprise management technology that has similar features as Intel's Active Management Technology. The technology is temporarily called Remote IT and should be ready by the end of this year.
AMD's new enterprise platform will adopt AMD Phenom processors, the RS780 and SB700 chipsets, and chips from Broadcom, Realtek and Marvell. In addition to Remote IT, the SB700 will also support technologies including IMD (Intelligent Management Device) and TPM (Trusted Platform Module), added the sources.
