Hiper PSUs with 87% efficiency

Hiper informed us about their new Type R Mk II and Type M series power supplies which feature an advertised efficiency of up to 87%.

A total of six power supplies have been launched. The 630W HPU-4M630 and 880W HPU-4M880 in the Type M Serie and the 680W HPU-5K/B680 and 880W HPU-5K/B880 in the Type R Mk II Serie which is available in black and blue.

One of the special features of the new Type R Mk II Serie power supplies are the eight integrated USB ports and the USB-style chargingport which provides 1A to charge mobile devices like cell phones and digital cameras, even when your system is off. I'm not really sure how useful this is as most people already have more than enough USB ports.

Each of these PSUs is cooled by a silent 135mm fan which features blue LEDs. Pricing and availability information is unknown.
