says there's still some uncertainty about the name of NVIDIA's upcoming G92. Some folks say it will be called GeForce 9800 but others claim it will be GeForce 8950:
Different people were getting different names so at the end Nvidia can change it until it makes the boxes for the cards. As there is still some time the name can change but 8950 sounds like a good option. Traditionally there are two versions a faster GTX and slower GT but we are not sure about these differentiations.
Anyway, the first G92-based graphics cards should arrive in November.
