Sources at Taiwanese contract manufacturers claim Apple will unveil three new iPods on September 5. This includes a new iPod video, iPod nano and iPod shuffle.

The new iPod video is made by Inventec Appliances and will feature a widescreen touchscreen display, a new Mac OS X based operating system (like the iPod) and WiFi support. Also new is that the iPod video won't feature a HDD - it will use NAND flash memory instead.

The new iPod nano is made by Foxconn and will feature more storage capacity and an iPhone-like interface.

Asustek will ship the new iPod shuffle - this little player will get more storage capacity. There were also some rumours that the new shuffle may feature a small display but we'll have to wait until Wednesday for the official information.
