Intel to launch three 90nm Celerons in Q2 2004

In the second quarter of this year Intel is planning to launch three new 90nm Celeron processors and two chipsets for the entry-level market. The new Celerons have a Prescott core, a 533MHz FSB and 256KB cache.

The prices are compatible with the current 0.13 micron Celeron processors but should be more cost-effective for Intel because they are made on 12-inch wafers.

The two new entry level chipsets are the 915GV and 910GL. They support both Socket 775 and Socket 478 processors.
  • Intel Celeron 2.80GHz: $117
  • Intel Celeron 2.66GHz: $89
  • Intel Celeron 2.53GHz: $79
