Eee PC shortages in Europe

DigiTimes writes Asus can't ship enough Eee PCs to Europe. Supply has fell behind demand by up to 70%:
Asustek president Jerry Shen pointed out that Asustek is confident that it can resolve the shortage issue in Europe at the beginning of May, while the company's notebook market share ranking in Europe may advance to fifth place with notebook sales of 3.5 million units in the second half of 2008, according to the paper, which noted that Asustek is is still confident that it can reach its goal of shipping 650,000-700,000 Eee PCs in the first quarter of 2008 despite a shortage of batteries for notebook PCs.
