Microsoft werft 5000 man aan

Microsoft neemt dit jaar vijfduizend mensen meer in dienst. Dat komt neer op 10 procent van het huidige personeelsbestand.

De softwarefabrikant steekt bovendien 5,2 miljard dollar in onderzoek en ontwikkeling en investeert meer dan 2 miljard dollar in high-end server software.

Microsoft meldde eerder deze maand dat de nettowinst in het vierde kwartaal toenam van 65 miljoen tot 1,53 miljard dollar. De omzet steeg 10 procent tot 7,25 miljard dollar in vergelijking met een jaar eerder.

Ondanks alle illigale kopiën maken ze dus toch nog steeds meer winst.
