TechPowerUp writes Asian sources indicate AMD may be working on a dual-GPU Radeon HD 3850 graphics card:
The site reports that the HD 3850 X2 should go on sale during mid-2008 with a price tag of between $299 and $379 - which would put it right in the firing line of NVIDIA’s GeForce 8800 GTS. It looks like the card will continue to use the RV670 core and feature GDDR3 memory, although the memory speed will be dropped from 2000MHz to 1800MHz, with a choice of 512MB or 1GB capacities.
