Intel Centrino Atom features POWERVR graphics

Imagination Technologies Group announced the Intel Centrino Atom processor technology includes their POWERVR SGX graphics and POWERVR VXD multi-standard HD video technologies.
These graphics and video technologies, as part of the Intel System Controller Hub in Intel Centrino Atom processor technology, enable the user to enjoy a richer Internet multimedia experience while consuming low power.

Gary Willihnganz, director of marketing for Intel Corporation’s Ultra Mobility Group said: "Our goal with Intel Centrino Atom processor technology is to enable the best internet experience in pocketable Mobile Internet Devices. Imagination’s graphics and video technologies, combined with Intel’s low power technologies and platform level integration, have resulted in a highly integrated solution that will bring a fantastic visual experience to MIDs."

Under the terms of its licensing arrangements Imagination receives license fees and royalty revenues on SoCs incorporating Imagination’s IP shipped by partners.
