DigiTimes received confirmation from the general manager of Dell's Taiwan office that the PC maker is working on a low-cost PC:
Frank Wu, general manger of Dell's Taiwan branch has recently revealed the company plans to enter the low-cost PC market, however, it will not use pricing as the key market differentiator and instead will launch a whole series of products from entry-level to high-end and in consumer- and enterprise-based platforms.

Wu noted that the company has not yet set a launch time-frame, but sources at notebook makers expect products to start appearing in June this year.
