DigiTimes reports Foxconn is expected to ship 20 million digital cameras this year, up 17.6% from 2007. I don't know Foxconn was such a big digicam manufacturer but apparently they have some big contracts with players like Sony.
The increase in 2008 shipment volume is mainly because Sony's global sales volume of digital cameras is forecast to grow from 22.0 million in 2007 to 26.0-30.0 million units in 2008 and Foxconn is a major ODM/OEM maker for Sony, the EDN pointed out.
