NVIDIA GeForce 175.19 WHQL drivers launched

NVIDIA has released new WHQL-certified Windows XP and Vista drivers for its GeForce 6, 7, 8 and 9 series graphics cards.
  • Improved 3D performance and load times for GeForce 8 and 9 series GPUs in some DirectX 9, DirectX 10 and OpenGL applications as a result an improved shader optimizer
  • Support for single GPU and NVIDIA SLI technology on DirectX 9, DirectX 10, and OpenGL, including 3-way and Quad SLI technology
  • Support for Hybrid SLI Technology to turbo-charge graphics performance and enjoy intelligent power management (Vista only)
  • Support for NVIDIA GeForce 3D Stereo Technology (Vista only)
  • Several game and application compatibility fixes

    While the mobile arena hasn't seen an update since Jan 2008. So much for the mobile chips to get updates every quarter Nvidia promised.

    They only release drivers to sell new cards. I doubt very much there are any optimizations for the 8 series, and none probably for anything older.

    Marketing at it's best. Come buy our new $650 card! See, we even release drivers for it to make it faster!

    Yah right.
