Wistron to make netbooks

DigiTimes reports first-tier notebook market Wistron will now also make netbooks:
Wistron is currently the only first-tier notebook maker to have not yet landed netbook orders, but the company claims it is in negotiations with vendors and will start production soon.

Currently, Quanta Computer manufactures Acer's Aspire one, Compal Electronics is doing Dell's E series products, Inventec is making Hewlett-Packard's (HP's) Mini-Note PC, and Pegatron Technology makes Asustek's Eee PCs.

Wistron noted that the declining economy has caused demand for netbooks to increase, but the company still believes growth will be limited.
