Dell working on 10-inch netbook

Posted on Wednesday, August 13 2008 @ 00:35:20 CEST by

DigiTimes reports Dell is expected to release a 10-inch E series netbook in October:
Although Compal Electronics' notebook ODM volume has not shown as much growth as previously expected, the boost coming from Dell's E series netbook shipments may help the company achieve its annual shipments goal of 32 million units in 2008, according to sources in the notebook industry.

Dell's 8.9-inch E series netbook is expected to provide Compal with monthly shipments of around 250,000 units, while the 10-inch model, which is scheduled to be launched in October, is expected to have monthly shipments of around 400,000-450,000 units.
