Swiftech released a new flagship waterblock today called Apogee GTZ. This new model features an entirely new design with improved thermal and mechanical specifications. The Apogee GTZ uses direct coolant impingement over the CPU area with a new copper base plate design which is primarily characterized by a pin matrix composed of 225 µm (0.009") micro structures. According to Swiftech this results in a 20 percent improvement in thermal resistance compared to the Apogee GTX.

Here's a look at some performance figures from Swiftech:

More specifications at Swiftech. The Swiftech Apogee GTZ waterblock retails for $69.95 but that version only includes retention hardware for Intel LGA775 CPUs. If you want to use it on other Intel sockets or AMD processors you'll have to shelve out an additional $9.95.
