SiS has started volume production of its PCI Express chipsets, including the SiS 656 and SiS 649 which supports the Intel Pentium 4, and the SiS 756 that supports the AMD Athlon 64FX processors.
SiS had July revenues of NT$800 million, representing an 8.5% sequential increase from NT$737 million in June, on increased demand for the SiS 661 integrated chipset, the sources noted.

With about 10% of deliveries of the SiS 661 chipset orders delayed to August, the company expects its revenues to hit NT$1 billion in August, the sourced added.

Buoyed by increasing shipments of its PCIe-enabled chipsets, SiS expects third-quarter revenues to reach NT$2.74 billion, up 25% from NT$2.19 billion in the second quarter, the sources estimated.
Volume shipments of these chipsets are expected by the end of August.
