12 and 14-inch notebooks to enter mass production in Q2 2009

Although notebook vendors have started to adopt 16:9 aspect ratio panels for upcoming notebooks, sources at notebook ODMs pointed out that notebooks with 12- to 14-inch 16:9 aspect ratio panels will not enter mass production until the second quarter of 2009.

In the second half of 2008, first-tier notebook vendors will focus on launching 15.6-inch, 18.4-inch and 10.1-inch 16:9 ratio notebooks and netbooks.
