Microsoft Withdraws From Standards Group

Microsoft has excused itself from participating in an international standards body because of concerns over control of intellectual property the company contributed to the group. Comprised of governmental and industry organizations, the United Nations Center for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business was created in 1996 to develop technology standards that facilitate trade among different economies worldwide.
