Mod turns Crysis into a cartoon

Posted on Friday, October 17 2008 @ 07:20:18 CEST by

A new cell-shaded mod for Crysis was published at Crymod, you can check it out over here.
This is a VERY beta release of a toon shader. It seems to work well for characters and animated objects but not so good on solids (Z thrashing).

Unpack this into your Crysis directory. It consists of two files, the toon.cfx and toongradient.dds files.

EDIT: This is just a shader for mods to use in their mods. It makes no changes to the game by itself! Use this if you want to make a toon-style mod like Viewtiful Joe, or Wind Waker, etc.
