CyberLink showed off a new version of PowerCinema optimized for Windows 7, with support for multi-touch:
CyberLink is working closely with Microsoft to ensure their Blu-ray player technology is compatible with Windows 7 and will support DXVA-HD optimized video graphics cards. The DXVA-HD optimization boosts performance by reworking the Blu-ray Disc plane composition pipeline. The technology allows video decoding for Blu-ray Discs to be hardware accelerated for a better viewing experience while reducing CPU power consumption, which results in longer movie playback time on PC battery life.
Multi-Touch Optimization on CyberLink PowerCinema
CyberLink has also been working closely with Microsoft to integrate the latest Windows 7 multi-touch technology into the user interface of PowerCinema touch edition. CyberLink PowerCinema optimized for multi-touch delivers sleek and versatile ways of viewing photo and video content at the fingertips. Users can smoothly move, rotate, and zoom in and out of photos and videos using their fingers to manipulate the objects on the display. The multi-touch optimized version of PowerCinema supports simultaneous playback of multiple video files under two viewing modes, fan and scatter.
CyberLink will join Microsoft today at the 2008 Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC) in Los Angeles, California, to showcase the Multi-Touch optimized version of PowerCinema running on Windows 7.
