AMD Propus without L3 to carry Athlon brand name

FUD Zilla writes AMD will use the old Athlon brandname for its upcoming quad-core Propus processor without L3 cache. Furthermore, the Rana tri-core processors will be branded as Athlon X3 processors.
These are two different cores as we were told before that Propus won't have just L3 cache disabled, it will be designed without L3 cache but as well as Deneb it will have 4x512KB L2 cache per core.

Propus will therefore be introduced to the world as Athlon X4 600 generation and not as Phenom II as many have hoped. We understand that AMD wants to differentiate Deneb from Propus but they could at least brand it as Athlon II as this is a completely new architecture compared to K8, architecture behind most of Athlon CPUs on the market.
