DigiTimes heard LCD panels with an aspect ratio of 16:9 will take the lead over 16:10 in the second half of this year.
The 16:9 aspect ratio is expected to surpass 16:10 as the mainstream specification for LCD monitors in the second half of this year, according to market sources.

The market share for larger-size models (20-inch and above) is expected to increase, as prices are expected to drop fast this year, the sources noted. Overall global LCD monitor shipments are expected to drop 5% to 172 million units, the sources added.
