Mushkin is showing off a prototype of a new 128GB SSD with two controllers at CeBIT, one for read operations and a second one for write operations. Dutch tech site Tweakers heard the drive will offer 200MB/s read speeds and 150MB/s write speeds. The SSD controllers were developed by Mushkin, the prototype is using flash chips from Samsung but the firm is looking if other flash makers can provide faster chips.

These dual-controller SSDs from Mushkin will be launched next month, the 128GB unit should go for sale for around 350EUR. There's also a 192GB one but the MSRP of that model is unknown.

Mushkin also shared it's working on a SSD with four controllers, these models are designed for RAID10 systems.
