Posted on Friday, March 06 2009 @ 21:09:06 CET by

Scythe introduced the Kabuto processor cooler at CeBIT, this unit is designed for Intel Socket 478/775/1366 and AMD Socket 754/939/940/AM2/AM2+/AM3 processors.

The Scythe Kabuto features six heatpipes, the heatpipes are grouped in pairs of two and transfer the heat to one of the three aluminum heatsinks. There's also a small aluminum heatsink on top of the base, and everything is cooled by a 120mm PWM fan which promises up to 74.25CFM at a noise level of just 26.5dBA.

The heatsink measures 124mm x 133mm x 132mm and weighs 730g.
